Visiting Assistant Professor
(Inorganic Chemistry)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential:
- Ph.D. in chemistry preferred; M.S. considered
- Commitment to quality teaching
- Demonstrated potential for directing undergraduate
research
- Ability to work effectively with administration,
faculty, staff, and students from varied
socio-economic/ethnic backgrounds
Desired:
- Successful teaching in a small, regional university
setting
- Successful experience in directing undergraduate
research
- Successful experience in advising students in
chemistry and/or health related fields
- Experience and interest in computer technologies and
instruction
FUNCTIONS:
- Teach courses in general and inorganic chemistry
from freshman through senior level and direct
undergraduate research
- Fulfill other duties expected of a faculty member,
such as student advising, committee assignments,
departmental recruitment and retention activities,
research, public service, etc.
- Perform other specific duties as assigned by
Department Chairperson and/or Dean

present a 20-30 minute lecture/lesson in the teaching
area.

discuss their research interests and their application
